The Ecopower hybrid extract ventilation unit is an innovative combination of natural ventilation and efficient mechanical ventilation that operates in either natural mode; powered mode; or both simultaneously.
The natural ventilation mode functions through two processes;-
a) the “stack effect” allows high level warm air to escape as a result of natural buoyancy.
b) external wind pressures on the building drives the impeller unit thereby creating flow through a centrifugal suction process.
The energy efficient power mode provides for flow rates to be boosted as required by powering the motor to drive the turbine impeller. This provides for an on demand response to meet performance conditions.
